The backplane is thicker and heavier than the conventional PCB board, and accordingly its heat capacity is also large. In view of the slower cooling rate of the backing plate, the length of the reflow oven is lengthened. It is also necessary to perform forced air cooling at the outlet to reduce the backing plate temperature to a safe degree of operation.
